A Third-World Country With Good Roads

The second-largest state in the Union and we can't even keep our state parks open. And Perry's solution is to CUT the Department of Parks & Wildlife Budget even more. Absolutely pitiful. As I have often said, it's a pity that stupidity isn't painful.

Teddy Roosevelt must be spinning in his grave. Conservationism truly is dead in the modern GOP, crushed beneath the onerous, stinking weight of big business interests. You can almost see the marionette strings attached to Perry's limbs. Oh well. At least we'll get a new mega-10-lane-freeway running through the state. That's KIND of like a park, isn't it?

eric: There are SO much reasons for TR to be spinning in his grave, we should hook him up to a dynamo.
