No, no... it's okay if it comes from the military. It's just not okay for politicians to dictate an arbitrary timeline. Or so I would imagine the GOP response goes.
And in fairness, General Casey didn't propose an explicit timetable, but it's still hypocritical for Congressional Republicans to excoriate Democrats as traitors and cowards when this announcement (which must have been at least weeks in the making) was imminent.
Hypocrisy? In politics? Surely you jest, Sir.
