On "Meet the Press" Sunday, Powell said he would shut down the detention facility at Guantanamo and put all the prisoners in our federal prison system. I was surprised it didn't make much of a stir in the media.
Yeah, I caught that, too, second-hand. I suspect it's because, sadly, Powell lost all relevance and credibility by (unknowingly) pushing Dubya's lies in the UN.
They weren't lies. Either a) the Iraqis just hid them REALLY well, in which case we need to stay longer to find them, or b) they sent them to Syria or Iran, in which case we need to invade to find them. Take your pick.
