Just a simple Cherokee trial lawyer, Barkman has been forcing his opinions on others in print since, for reasons that passeth understanding, he was an unsuccessful candidate for state representative in 2002. His philosophy: "If people had wanted me to be nice, they should've voted for me."
Thanks to Congressional Democrats, your government can once more spy on you without a warrant, with no oversight, and, best of all, George W. Bush is in charge of it. I feel better already!

Yes, I'm still waiting for all that "change" the election last November was supposed to bring. The whole "we don't have a large enough majority" defense got old months ago, and it doesn't even begin to explain incidents like this.
Yeah, that was pretty spineless. Really hard to justify as anything other than a total and abject paralyzing fear of being blamed politically in the event of a new terrorist attack. But, of course, Democrats will be blamed for any (God forbid) new terrorist attacks regardless...
Oh, I'm sure they'll be blamed for losing the Iraq war, too. I can hear it from the Repugnicans already: "We would have won that war if the Democrats hadn't signaled surrender to our enemies from the very start." You know it's only a matter of time.
