Tom Tancredo: Racist Piece of Crap

In his ongoing campaign to discredit white people everywhere, Tancredo used (without permission) the photo of a 17 year old pregnant girl murdered for trying to testify against a brutal street gang to illustrate one of his scummy "fear the brown hordes!" television ads. Did Tancredo's drones know or care who Brenda Paz was? Doubtful. As far as they were concerned, she was just another face in the crowd. Lou Dobbs is Full of Crap

Lou Dobbs is rapidly becoming like Pat Buchanan for me: an unsubtle racist who occasionally says something about the economy that makes sense, but is otherwise crazier than a shithouse rat. Now, he's parroting the RW Noise Machine smear that Nancy Pelosi is demanding round-the-clock access to a luxury jet tricked out like Austin Powers'. It's a bald-faced lie and Think Progress calls him on it.

Savor the Irony

Anyone else see the humor in a guy whose made his reputation with delusional racist fantasies of Hispanic separatists holding a rally with a group whose avowed goal is the dismemberment of the United States? No? Well, maybe it's just me.

Xenophobia Roadshow

Disdaining their own President, and dismissing out of hand the Senate immigration reform bill, the GOP House is planning a travelling circus on the issue. One can only hope they feature the pathetic, racist losers of the "Minutemen" as prominently as they did the pathetic, racist losers in the "militia movement" in hearing immediately after the Oklahoma City bombing.

A Sleeping Giant?

It remains to be seen whether or not we are witnessing the beginning of a large-scale Hispanic political force in this country; for one thing, it's always easier to organize protests than build a movement. For another, Hispanic voter turnout has always been historically low and those with the greatest stake in this debate, illegal aliens, can't vote at all. Having said that, I was very impressed with the latest round of demonstrations, particularly with the leadership and keen eye for public relations shown by LULAC.
