Just a simple Cherokee trial lawyer, Barkman has been forcing his opinions on others in print since, for reasons that passeth understanding, he was an unsuccessful candidate for state representative in 2002. His philosophy: "If people had wanted me to be nice, they should've voted for me."

Rock Bottom

Bush drops to a 29% approval rating. The only way this makes sense is in light of other recent news suggesting that the core Republican constituency (the Kitten Bitin' Republicans) are now losing faith in both the White House and Congress. This is NOT because the KBR's have suddenly seen the light and come to Jesus; no, the hard-core conservatives are finally being repulsed by the Administration and Congress' drunken sailor spending habits and sheer incompetence. They won't be rushing to vote Democratic in November, but they may just stay home: one more indicator that 2006 may end up as a 1994 or 1974 style whupping for the GOP.
