Etiquette & Protocol

George Will spins the confrontation between President Bush and Senator-elect James Webb. Firedog Lake suggests the President was being even more pissy than he appeared at first glance. The Moderate Voice asks, "Why can't we all just get along?"

I sorta like that Webb gave the Kowboy Koward of the cold shoulder. Bush needs a good dose of "not everyone agrees with you...hell, lots of people don't even like you".

Screw "respecting the office". Bush certainly doesn't.

I just think GOP concern for "respecting the office" is fascinating, given their behavior from 1993-2001. Who was President then?
