Republicans Love Pork!


The entire Texas GOP Congressional delegation (save only Mac Thornberry, the white sheep of the family) voted against earmark reform. Keep this in mind the next time you hear GOPhers inveigh against "pork barrel spending." Earmarks: The Other White Meat!

Which is another reason why I have dropped the description of 'republican' from my political title conservative republican.

If these people were true conservatives, there would be no earmarking; heck, a lot a things would be different.

I think a lot of conscientious conservatives are doing the same thing, which partially explains the '06 elections. The country really does need a conservative party, if only because not every idea is good just because it's new.
