It Really Says Something...

...about how far the public morals of this country have fallen after five years under this vicious, mendacious and venal Administration that we are having a serious debate over TORTURE. And it says even more about the utter moral bankruptcy of the Republic Party that some of its more repulsive adherents actually think TORTURE is a winning campaign issue.

I fail to see how a policy of torture and preemptive war is imcompatible with the Christian values of God's Own Party. Didn't, er, Jesus command us to torture our enemies and wage war when it was convenient or desirable to do so? I'm pretty sure he said that somewhere in the Bible.

Yeah, it's right next to the part where the Lord called for a cut in the capital gains tax and Jesus said, "Blessed are the rich; the poor can go screw themselves."
